i have heard that the first pizza resturaunt in new york city is still in business and is the oldest pizza place in the country.

i dunno, but it's pretty old.

I once ate a pizza that was 5 1/2 years old. It was stale and moldy, but it tasted like it was only 2 years old

Lombardos opened in 1905. Brick oven and my brother lives in NYC and says it ranks as one of the best. John's in NYC he says is good too.

Moon, I don't remember the name of the place. AE did a TV show on the history of pizza. The pizza place in New York was founded by Italian Immigrants and catered toward the working class Italians. The business grew and moved and is still in existence.

I heard it was a place called Ray's (short for Rafiello) that opened at the turn of the century. They still have the same brick oven. Sorry, dont know where it is, but probably Little Italy somewhere
